Rim breaks are not as good as on the old Rockhopper, but yet the stopping power is not any worse then on my friends brand new Specialized HardRock with Disk breaks. The fork does not have much (if any) damping, but again has more usable travel then my old Rockhopper and comparable to new Hardrock. <br /> <br />I am usually good at finding great values in used deals and rarely buy new, but for this price Tyax Comp beats any used bike I could find.
