This bike is a great value. I bought it because I wanted to run some triathlons. For a beginner, with not a lot of money, this is perfect. All I had to do is to change the pedals to get some clip-ons. It runs smoothly and it is easy to maintain and assemble. I recommended if you do not want to spend a lot of money, but want to get a good bike.
GREAT entry level bike

I had been wanting to get back into cycling or a while, but couldn’t justify spending [...]+ on something I might find I didn’t enjoy. I was able to get this bike free through a rewards program at work. It has definetly been a great starter bike. I’ve got about 500 miles on it so far. I’ve had to replace one tire tube, but that was due to riding through glass on the road.
It was easy enough to put together, but having it tuned by some one who knows what they are doing will make a big difference.
I would also recommend the Schwinn cycling computer as a great add on (http://www.amazon.com/Schwinn-SW654-17-Function-Bike-Computer/dp/B000DZD3FQ/ref=pd_sim_t_1)
Only complaints are the bar mounted shifters which can hamper add-ons like aero bars and computers (I moved the left shift over to fit the computer). The front derailure leaves a little to be disired. Got it tuned by a friend who is a serious cyclist and it has stopped the chain from jumping off. But still doesn’t shift very quickly. The back derailure by comparison shifts VERY quickly.
All and All a VERY goot starter bike and well worth the investment. Once you put a couple of thousand miles on it, then look to upgrade.
Good starter bike but has some issues

I had the same issue as another reviewer. Once I received my bike I discovered that a bolt was missing which connects the front brake cable. I was able to fix the problem myself after purchasing the bolt from a local bike store. I had to replace both tire tubes since my purchase approx 4 weeks ago. I also found that changing gears from the from small sproket to the larger front sproket causes the chain to come off. I have yet been able to use the larger sprocket.
The bike was easy to assemble and rides pretty good. I have about 100 miles so far and besides the issues described above… Not a bad bike for $350. I think the tire tubes are pretty generic so they do not last long.
The bike is very light too.
If you are looking for a cheap bike to stay in shape this is a good purchase. As with any mechanical equipment you will have to keep up the maintenance. I would recommend grabbing a couple of tubes when getting the front brake cable bolt.
Decent Road Bike

Pros
Its very very light and just drove around 15 miles today and rides fast.My bike computer shows I clocked maximum speed of 48mph which is very impressive. 54 cm will be a very good fit for medium height riders (5’7 to 5’10). Very good sleek tires. Impressive gears. You need to tune the front derailleur properly to slip from low to high and back. I spent decent them tuning them properly. Brakes are good only if you can fix them. They didn’t come fixed for me.
Cons
Awful seat, Brakes don come fixed with the package and you will struggle to set them right. I had to take them to a bike shop and get them fixed. Its very hard on you if you find a little bumpy road. You can feel the slightest of bumps. Hate the pedals as well. They rarely line up right for you to get your toes into the clips
Summary
Good starting road bike. Very light. Excellent speed. Hard on even slightest of bumpy roads.
You won’t be sorry!

This is a perfect bike for those getting started in cycling. This is my first road bike, and I have to say it’s worth every penney.there is no way I was going to spend 1000+ on a bike. I’m not a pro nor do i plan to be, just wanna get out there and ride. This bike is perfect for that. it’s light, looks great, and all of the components work well. one thing I do recommend is to take it to a LBS to have it tuned.
